- The Brewery
This year The Future of Web Design is returning to The Brewery, in the heart of London. The Brewery occupies the site of the former Whitbread brewery in East London, and provides a fantastic backdrop to our event. We’ve been returning to this venue for the last three years – and with good reason. From fantastic event space to the very finest catering, The Brewery is brilliant.
We’ll be taking over the whole space, with two conference tracks, an awesome expo area, networking sessions, chill out spaces and lunchtime uni sessions.
Traveling to: The Brewery
By Taxi
If you’re traveling to the event by taxi, any cabbie worth his salt should know where to drop you. Just ask for The Brewery on Chiswell Street. After you get dropped off, head through the archway entrance and follow signs to the main doors of the venue.
By Underground
Arriving at The Brewery by public transport is quick and easy. It’s close to Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Barbican stations, and served by at least 10 bus routes.
Local Info
The Brewery is located in The City, London’s financial district. This is the historic heart of London, which the rest of the city has grown up around over the years. Meeting the needs of the district’s many bankers, if you’re in the market for a fancy lunch or new business suit, you’re in luck. For a more relaxed atmosphere, head over to neighbouring Clerkenwell, or trendy Shoreditch.
Restaurants
Our venue is close to several great restaurants – and being London, there’s something for everyone.
The Cuban Bar – A few minutes walk from The Brewery, The Cuban Bar offers a taste of Central America, and is famous for its mojitos – you have been warned!
Chiswell Dining Rooms – Make like a banker and enjoy dinner at the Chiswell Dining Rooms. Modern British fare.
The Curry Leaf East – Head to The Curry Leaf for home-style Indian cooking, again just a short walk from the conference venue.
Wagamama – A tried and tested favourite – reliably decent noodles, salads and gyoza, right round the corner from The Brewery.
Entertainment & Leisure
If you’re looking for something to fill your evenings while you’re in town, the Brewery is right next door to The Barbican – Europe’s largest multi-arts venue presenting a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film and creative learning events.
If you’re looking to stretch your legs, we’re a stone’s throw from Finsbury Square Garden, and the historic Bunhill Fields.
